- Location Data: GPS coordinates during runs to track your route and claim map tiles. Location is used only while the app is in use.
- Health & Fitness Data: Step count, distance, calories, and pace via Apple HealthKit. This data is stored on your device and is not shared with third parties.
- Account Information: Email address and display name when you create an account.
- Usage Data: App interactions, run history, tile ownership, and clan membership stored in our database to provide core app functionality.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To track and display your run routes and claimed territories on the map.
- To power clan features, leaderboards, and social gameplay.
- To sync your data across your devices.
- To process in-app purchases (tile skins, Clan Pro).
- To send push notifications about clan activity (you can opt out in Settings).
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We use the following third-party services:
- Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, and cloud storage.
- Apple App Store: In-app purchase processing via StoreKit.
- Apple HealthKit: Fitness data — accessed locally on your device only.
4. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Upon deletion, all personal data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
5. Children's Privacy
RunTerra is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
6. Your Rights

7. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and Firebase Security Rules to protect your data from unauthorized access.
